Balkan Botevgrad claimed the Bulgaria Super Cup with a convincing 94-71 victory over Euroins Cherno More on Saturday, October 3, 2026. In a matchup that promised intensity and bragging rights, Botevgrad delivered a composed, high-scoring performance to secure the trophy in style.

Match Overview

Balkan Botevgrad started the game with purpose, attacking early in the shot clock and setting a fast tempo. Euroins Cherno More tried to match the pace, but Botevgrad's half-court execution was sharper, especially when the ball moved inside-out. The first quarter established a narrow lead, but the signs of separation were already visible.

By halftime, Botevgrad had built a cushion behind efficient three-point shooting and second-chance points. Cherno More stayed within striking distance thanks to timely baskets in transition, but they could not consistently solve Botevgrad's defensive rotations.

Third-Quarter Break

The decisive stretch arrived in the third quarter. Botevgrad opened the period with a sustained run, combining defensive stops with quick offense. A series of steals and long rebounds turned into easy points, and the lead stretched into double digits. Cherno More called timeout to slow the momentum, but Botevgrad's confidence was already flowing.

Botevgrad's guards controlled the pace, while the frontcourt dominated the boards. The team's ball movement created open corner threes and cutters behind the defense. By the end of the third, the Super Cup was firmly within reach.

Key Stats and Performers

Balkan Botevgrad's balanced scoring was the difference. Multiple players finished in double figures, and the team shot efficiently from beyond the arc. Defensively, Botevgrad limited Euroins Cherno More's best looks and forced them into tough mid-range attempts. The rebounding battle also tilted clearly in Botevgrad's favor.

Trophy Significance

It also reinforces their status as a team capable of competing on multiple fronts. For Cherno More, the loss is a learning experience, but the margin suggests there is work to do before the regular season heats up.
