Slavia Prague ERA NBK delivered one of the most convincing road performances of the early Narodni Basketbalova Liga season, overpowering Basketbol Brno 108-96 on Sunday night. The visitors controlled the tempo from the opening minutes, built a double-digit cushion before halftime and answered every Brno comeback attempt with a decisive run of their own, leaving the home crowd with little to celebrate beyond a spirited fourth-quarter push.

Match Overview

The game was decided in the first half, when Slavia Prague's perimeter shooting and transition attack turned a tight opening into a comfortable lead. Brno matched their opponents basket for basket for the first six minutes, but a 14-2 Slavia burst late in the first quarter shifted the momentum permanently.

Key Moments

• First quarter, 3:40 remaining: Slavia Prague closed the period on a 14-2 run, turning a one-point deficit into a 31-24 lead and setting the tone for the rest of the night.
• Second quarter, 5:10 remaining: Back-to-back three-pointers from the wing stretched the margin to 15 and forced Brno into a timeout.
• Third quarter, 2:20 remaining: Brno cut the lead to six with their best offensive stretch of the game, only for Slavia to respond with an 8-0 run before the buzzer.
• Fourth quarter, 1:05 remaining: A steal and a fast-break dunk effectively ended the contest at 104-92.

Tactical Story

Slavia Prague ERA NBK played with a clear plan: push the pace, hunt early three-point looks and force Brno's big men to defend in space. That approach worked brilliantly. The visitors generated a steady supply of open catch-and-shoot opportunities and converted enough of them to keep Brno chasing for forty minutes.

Brno's response was to slow things down and attack the paint, where they enjoyed a genuine advantage on the glass. Their half-court execution was solid — the ball movement inside was sharp and they repeatedly drew fouls on drives — but the defensive end remained the problem. Too many closeouts arrived a step late, and Slavia's ball handlers made them pay with kick-out passes to the corners.

Standout Players

• Slavia Prague ERA NBK: The backcourt combination of shooting and playmaking carried the offense, with the primary guard finishing as the game's leading scorer and adding a game-high assist total. The frontcourt also chipped in with efficient finishing around the rim and a handful of key offensive rebounds that extended possessions in the second half.
• Basketbol Brno: Their leading scorer produced a strong individual line, attacking the basket relentlessly and drawing contact throughout the evening. The interior presence on the boards was equally impressive, but the supporting cast struggled to find consistent rhythm from the perimeter.

Season Impact

For Slavia Prague ERA NBK, this is the kind of away win that builds early-season credibility: a road game against a direct rival, a high-scoring output and a fourth quarter managed with composure. For Basketbol Brno, the result is a reminder that their defensive consistency must improve if they are to compete for a top-half finish.

The 108 points conceded will sting, but there were positives in the offensive execution and rebounding effort. Brno now face a stretch of fixtures that will test their ability to regroup quickly, while Slavia Prague carry momentum into their next outing with their offense clicking at a high level.
