Player Info
Arsalan Kazemi is an Iranian professional small forward, a trailblazer as the first Iranian-born player to be selected in the NBA Draft. A tenacious rebounder and defender, Kazemi played college basketball at Rice University and the University of Oregon, where he led the Pac-12 in rebounding. He was selected by the Washington Wizards with the 54th overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft. Although his NBA opportunity was limited, Kazemi returned to the Middle East to become a superstar. He has led the Iranian national team to multiple Asian Championships and has been a dominant force in the Iranian Super League, winning multiple MVP and Defensive Player of the Year awards. His game is built on relentless energy, elite rebounding for his position, and a high motor. Now 35, Kazemi is not only a national icon in Iran but also one of the most decorated and respected Asian basketball players of his generation.
