Player Info

Braian Angola is a dynamic shooting guard for LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne in the French Jeep Élite and EuroLeague. Wearing number 6, the 31-year-old, 195 cm guard brings a potent combination of size, athleticism, and scoring to the French powerhouse. Angola, who holds Angolan citizenship but was born in Colombia, began his basketball journey in the United States at Florida State University. He entered the professional ranks with the NBA G League's Westchester Knicks before finding his footing in Europe. A standout season with Bilbao Basket in Spain put him on the map, leading to his move to ASVEL. With ASVEL, he has been a crucial part of their backcourt, helping the team compete for domestic titles and providing a spark in the EuroLeague with his ability to attack the rim and hit from deep. He was instrumental in Angola's national team campaign at the 2023 FIBA World Cup, leading the team in scoring. Known for his explosive first step and improving three-point shot, Angola is a versatile offensive weapon. His current role at ASVEL sees him as a key two-way player, using his length to disrupt defensively while being a primary scoring option alongside star point guard Paris Lee.
