Damyean Dotson is a shooting guard with a smooth jump shot, currently playing for the Ryukyu Golden Kings in Japan's B.League. The Houston native played his college ball at the University of Houston before being selected 44th overall by the New York Knicks in the 2017 NBA Draft. Dotson spent three seasons with the Knicks, where he was known as a reliable three-point shooter and a hard-working defender. He later had brief stints with the Cleveland Cavaliers and New York again. At 6-foot-5, Dotson's primary weapon is his catch-and-shoot ability from beyond the arc. His professional journey highlights the value of a specialist skill in the modern game.
