United StatesPlayer Info
Jared McCain, the 22-year-old guard for the Oklahoma City Thunder, is a dynamic young talent drafted 16th overall in 2024 out of Duke University. Hailing from Sacramento, the 6'3", 188-pound combo guard has quickly made a name for himself with his polished scoring ability, deep shooting range, and competitive fire. Wearing number 3, McCain brings a blend of offensive creativity and toughness that fits perfectly with the Thunder's young, ascending core. After a standout career at Duke where he was known for his clutch shooting and high basketball IQ, McCain has transitioned smoothly to the NBA, showing he can be both a primary shot-creator and an effective off-ball threat alongside stars like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. His rookie season was promising, as he demonstrated a fearless approach, a reliable three-point shot, and a knack for making big plays in key moments. With a salary of just over $4.2 million, McCain represents tremendous value as a potential cornerstone for Oklahoma City's backcourt of the future, embodying the skill and swagger that made him a fan favorite in college and is now winning over the NBA.
