LithuaniaPlayer Info
John Villiam Shurna is an American-Lithuanian forward/center known for his unique shooting stroke and high basketball IQ, currently playing for Força Lleida. Born on April 30, 1990, the 35-year-old stands at 6'9" (204 cm) and wears the number 22 jersey. Shurna, who obtained Lithuanian citizenship, has also represented the Lithuanian national team. He made a name for himself at Northwestern University in the NCAA before embarking on a successful European career. His unorthodox but highly effective shooting motion makes him a constant three-point threat, stretching defenses and creating space. While not a traditional bruiser, he uses his intelligence to defend, rebound, and make the right play. Shurna has played in top leagues in Spain, Germany, and Turkey, valued everywhere for his professionalism and elite shooting ability. He is the prototype of the modern stretch-four who can change a game with his perimeter scoring.
