Kostas Antetokounmpo carries a famous surname and has used his own unique path to build a professional basketball career in Europe. The 27-year-old center, younger brother of NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, was born in Athens and played college basketball at the University of Dayton before being the final pick (60th overall) in the 2018 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers. He spent two seasons primarily in the NBA G League and had brief NBA appearances with the Los Angeles Lakers, with whom he won an NBA championship in 2020. Seeking more playing time, Kostas returned to Europe and has found a home with Aris B.C. in the Greek Basket League. While not possessing the superstar talent of his brother, Kostas is a long, athletic big man who provides energy, shot-blocking, and finishing around the rim.
