Landry Shamet
New York Knicks/PG/
United StatesPlayer Info
Landry Shamet is a reliable point guard for the New York Knicks, known for his steady ball-handling, three-point shooting, and high basketball IQ. The 28-year-old Kansas City native was drafted 26th overall in 2018 by the Philadelphia 76ers out of Wichita State and immediately contributed to a playoff team. Shamet has been a valuable role player for several contenders, including the LA Clippers, Brooklyn Nets, and Phoenix Suns, often serving as a backup floor general who can space the floor. Now with the Knicks on a $11 million contract, he provides backcourt depth and veteran poise. While he doesn't have major individual awards, his consistent presence on winning teams is a testament to his value. Shamet's game is not flashy but effective, defined by smart decision-making, catch-and-shoot accuracy, and a team-first attitude that coaches trust in critical moments.
