Dynamo Vladivostok/PG/SG
-Player Info
Daquan Smith is a quick and crafty point guard for Dynamo Vladivostok, known for his speed, ball-handling, and ability to penetrate defenses. At 185 cm and 83 kg, Smith wears number 1 and is the engine of his team's offense in the Russian basketball landscape. His career began with a standout performance in college, leading his conference in steals and assists, before he took his game overseas. His tenure with Dynamo Vladivostok has seen him become a fan favorite, as he fearlessly attacks the basket and sets up his teammates. He has recorded multiple games with double-digit assists and is a constant threat to score in transition. While competing in the tough VTB United League, he has helped Vladivostok punch above its weight, including a memorable upset win over a traditional powerhouse where he scored the game-winning layup. Smith's game is defined by his lightning-quick first step, creative passing, and pesky on-ball defense.
