Denver Nuggets/G/
United StatesPlayer Info
Tyus Jones is widely regarded as the premier backup point guard in the NBA, a maestro of ball security and steady leadership for the Denver Nuggets. The 29-year-old floor general, wearing number 2, boasts an astoundingly low career turnover rate, earning him the nickname "The Professor" for his calm and intelligent play. A national champion at Duke, he was drafted 24th overall in 2015 by the Cleveland Cavaliers and immediately traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves. He spent several seasons with the Memphis Grizzlies, where he eventually became a starter and led the league in assist-to-turnover ratio for multiple consecutive years. A key highlight was a 27-assist game in the G League, showcasing his elite playmaking. His main team honor is an NBA championship with the Nuggets in 2023, where his steady hand was invaluable off the bench. Jones's game is defined by impeccable decision-making, pinpoint passing, and a reliable mid-range jumper. He is the quintessential stabilizing force for any second unit, providing championship-level poise to the Denver backcourt.
