Team Info

Basket Club Vienna is a professional basketball team based in the Austrian capital, competing in the Adriatic Basketball Association (ABA) League, a regional competition featuring clubs from several Southeast European nations. This places them at a high level of competition beyond just the Austrian domestic scene. Their home arena is a modern facility in Vienna capable of hosting international games. The club was established with the ambitious goal of becoming a central European powerhouse, leveraging the city's status as a major metropolis. The name reflects a straightforward identity focused on representing Vienna on the basketball court. Gaining entry into the prestigious ABA League marked a significant achievement, pitting them against legendary clubs from Serbia, Croatia, and Slovenia. Their history in this tough competition has been a learning curve, but they have managed notable upset victories, building a reputation as a scrappy and well-prepared team. The current era involves building a roster with a mix of Austrian internationals and experienced ABA veterans to be more competitive. The team culture is one of ambition and resilience, aiming to make Vienna a basketball destination. Basket Club Vienna is on a challenging but exciting path in the Adriatic League.
