Team Info

Rigas Zelli is a basketball club based in Riga, the capital city of Latvia, a nation with a deep and proud basketball tradition. The name "Zelli" could relate to a specific district, institution, or sponsor within Riga. The team competes in the Latvian basketball league system, possibly the Latvian Basketball League (LBL) or its lower divisions. They likely play their home games at one of Riga's many sports halls. Founded to contribute to the rich tapestry of Latvian basketball, Rigas Zelli operates in the shadow of giants like VEF Rīga and Rīgas Zeļļi but with its own distinct identity. The club focuses on developing Latvian talent and playing an energetic, guard-oriented style that is a hallmark of basketball in the country. The current squad is young and hungry, aiming to prove itself against more established opponents. Support comes from a local segment of Riga's passionate basketball community, who appreciate the club's role in nurturing the next wave of Latvian players.
