Key Moments

Posušje took the lead in the first half with a well-executed counter-attack. After absorbing pressure, they broke quickly down the left and delivered a low cross that was converted at the back post. The away side's early goal changed the complexion of the match.

Vitez tried to respond immediately, pushing more players forward and forcing several corners. But Posušje doubled their advantage just after the hour mark. A misplaced pass in midfield was punished, and their striker finished confidently one-on-one with the goalkeeper.

Vitez pulled a goal back late on, giving themselves hope. A substitute drove a shot into the bottom corner, and suddenly the home crowd found its voice. Posušje had to defend deeply in the final minutes, but they held on for a 2-1 win.

Tactical Story

Posušje set up to be compact and difficult to break down. They conceded possession to Vitez in the middle third but maintained a strong defensive shape, limiting clear chances. When they won the ball, they attacked with purpose and numbers.

Vitez enjoyed more of the ball but struggled to turn possession into clear-cut opportunities. Their final pass was often delayed or overhit, allowing Posušje's defenders to recover. The home side's late goal came from a moment of individual quality rather than sustained pressure.

Standout Players

Posušje's striker was the match-winner, scoring the second goal and leading the line with energy. Their central midfielders worked tirelessly to screen the defence and launch counters. The goalkeeper also made a vital save in the second half when the score was still 2-0.

For Vitez, the substitute who scored gave them a late spark, and their captain tried to drive the team forward from midfield. However, the home side will look back at missed chances before Posušje's second goal as the turning point.

Season Impact

The 2-1 victory strengthens HŠK Posušje's position in the BIH PL-FBiH standings and underlines their ambitions for the season. Away wins against direct rivals are especially valuable, and this performance showed they can manage a game on the road.

Vitez remain a competitive side, but this defeat is a setback in their own campaign. They will need to improve their efficiency in the final third if they are to climb the table and challenge for a higher finish.
