Bursa Yıldırımspor progressed in the TUR Kupası with a comfortable 2-0 home victory over Yeni Amasya Spor on October 7, 2026. Goals in each half from Emre Kaya and Mert Yılmaz secured the win, sending Bursa into the next round of Turkey's premier cup competition.

Match Overview

Bursa Yıldırımspor started the match on the front foot, and their pressure paid off in the 23rd minute when Emre Kaya fired home from the edge of the box after a neat lay-off from strike partner Mert Yılmaz. Yeni Amasya Spor tried to respond, but they struggled to create clear chances against a well-organised Bursa defence. The second half saw Bursa double their lead in the 58th minute, Mert Yılmaz turning scorer with a header from a corner. Yeni Amasya pushed forward in search of a lifeline, but Bursa's goalkeeper, Serkan Demir, made two excellent saves to preserve the clean sheet.

Key Moments

• 23rd minute: Emre Kaya opens the scoring with a low drive.
• 41st minute: Yeni Amasya's best chance falls to Ali Çelik, but he shoots wide.
• 58th minute: Mert Yılmaz heads in Bursa's second from a corner.
• 76th minute: Serkan Demir makes a superb save to deny Yeni Amasya a consolation.

Tactical Story

Bursa Yıldırımspor set up in a balanced 4-2-3-1, looking to control possession and use the width of their full-backs to stretch Yeni Amasya's defence. The visitors, playing a 4-4-2, sat deep and tried to hit on the counter, but their transitions were too slow. Bursa's midfield duo of Hasan Şahin and Oğuz Kaan dominated the centre, winning the ball back quickly and feeding the attacking trio. The second goal came from a well-rehearsed corner routine, which effectively killed the game. Yeni Amasya's manager made attacking substitutions, but they lacked the quality to break down a disciplined Bursa backline.

Standout Players

Emre Kaya and Mert Yılmaz were the standout performers for Bursa, each contributing a goal and an assist. Kaya's movement caused problems all evening, while Yılmaz's aerial presence was a constant threat. Goalkeeper Serkan Demir deserved credit for his clean sheet, making two vital saves. For Yeni Amasya Spor, midfielder Ali Çelik worked hard but received little support from his teammates.

Season Impact

This victory sends Bursa Yıldırımspor into the next round of the TUR Kupası, where they will face either a higher-division side or another lower-league opponent. The cup run provides a welcome distraction from league duties and a chance to build momentum. For Yeni Amasya Spor, the defeat ends their cup adventure, allowing them to focus fully on their league campaign. Bursa's confidence will be high after a professional and disciplined performance.
