FC Nomme United 1–3 Nomme JK Kalju
Estonian Premium Liiga | July 4, 2026
Nomme JK Kalju continued their strong push at the top of the Premium Liiga table with a commanding 3-1 away victory over city rivals FC Nomme United at the Männiku Stadium. The derby atmosphere was electric, but it was the visitors who dominated proceedings, showcasing clinical finishing and defensive solidity.
Kalju opened the scoring in the 22nd minute through a crisp counter-attack, with striker Mikk Laas slotting home after a precise through ball from midfielder Rasmus Tamm. The away side doubled their lead just before half-time when a corner kick met the head of captain Andre Frolov, who powered the ball past United keeper Markus Poom.
FC Nomme United showed signs of a fightback after the break. In the 67th minute, Kristjan Kask pulled one back with a well-placed volley from the edge of the box, giving the home fans a glimmer of hope. However, Kalju restored their two-goal cushion just ten minutes later as substitute Henri Raudsepp pounced on a defensive error to make it 3-1.
United pushed forward in the closing stages but lacked the cutting edge to reduce the deficit further. The defeat leaves Nomme United in the lower half of the standings, while Kalju remain firmly in contention for the league title, building momentum as the season reaches its midway point.
