Match Info

Europa Point secured a vital 2-1 home win against Lions Gibraltar in the Gibraltar Premier Division on December 7, 2025, claiming a rare three points in their battle against relegation. The match at Victoria Stadium provided a much-needed boost for the hosts, who showed resilience to come from behind and claim victory. Lions Gibraltar took an early lead, putting Europa Point under immediate pressure. However, the home side responded before halftime with an equalizer, changing the complexion of the game. A second-half winner completed the turnaround, sending the home supporters into raptures. The key incident was a well-worked team goal for the winner, showcasing the fighting spirit the team has often lacked this season. This result provided a crucial buffer for Europa Point in the league table, moving them clear of the very bottom, while it was a setback for Lions Gibraltar's own ambitions. The winning manager hailed his players' character, while the Lions coach rued missed chances to extend their early advantage.
