Casarano edged A.S.D. Giugliano Calcio 1928 4-3 in an extraordinary Serie C encounter that delivered seven goals and non-stop drama. The hosts eventually took the points in a match that swung one way and then the other, keeping fans on the edge of their seats until the final whistle.

A Night of End-to-End Football

Both teams came out attacking from the first minute, and the early exchanges were nothing short of chaotic. Casarano struck first with an early opener, but Giugliano responded quickly to level the score before the first quarter of the match had elapsed. The visitors then took the lead, and for a period it looked as though they might run away with the game.

Casarano's response was impressive. The home side rediscovered their composure and started to exploit the space left behind Giugliano's high line. Two quick goals swung the match back in Casarano's favour, but Giugliano refused to fade, forcing a tense finish when they hit the back of the net for a third time. Just when it seemed the points would be shared, Casarano struck late and sealed a remarkable victory.

Key Moments

• The flurry of early goals: Three goals inside the opening half hour set the tone for a wild encounter.
• Casarano's second-half surge: Two goals in quick succession flipped the match decisively in the hosts' favour.
• The late winner: With the game balanced at 3-3, Casarano produced one final piece of quality to claim all three points.

Tactical Story

Coaching staff on both sides will have had mixed feelings. The match was open, entertaining, and full of attacking intent, but also riddled with defensive lapses. Casarano will be delighted with their fighting spirit and their ability to create chances at will; Giugliano, meanwhile, will wonder how they left empty-handed after scoring three times away from home.

What It Means

For Casarano, the win is a significant early-season statement in Serie C. There will be tougher, more disciplined opponents ahead, but firing four goals in any game is a clear sign of attacking quality. Giugliano, for all their bright moments, must tighten up defensively if they want to turn such performances into points. In a league where fine margins decide promotion and survival, matches like this can shape an entire campaign.
