Dynamo Moscow Women Edge Krasnodar in Five-Goal Thriller

Dynamo Moscow Women claimed a dramatic 3–2 victory over FC Krasnodar Women on 28 August 2026, in a hugely entertaining Russian Women’s Premier League encounter. The away side had to dig deep after surrendering a lead, but showed resilience to take all three points in a match filled with attacking intent and momentum shifts.

A Fast-Paced Opening

The contest began at a frenetic pace, with both teams looking to impose themselves early. Krasnodar, playing on home turf, enjoyed a bright opening spell and took the lead inside the first quarter of an hour after a scrappy goal from a corner. However, Dynamo Moscow responded well and equalised before the half-hour mark with a composed finish from the edge of the box after a well-rehearsed combination.

It was Dynamo who carried the greater threat as the first half progressed, and they duly turned the game around just before the interval. A quick break down the left wing created space for a low cross, and the finish at the near post was emphatic to make it 2–1 at the break.

Second-Half Drama and Late Goals

The intensity continued into the second half, with Krasnodar pushing forward in search of an equaliser. Their pressure paid off with about 20 minutes remaining, when a loose ball in the Dynamo box was swept home to level the match at 2–2. The dynamics of the game shifted again, but Dynamo Moscow showed the stronger nerve in the closing stages.

With the game looking set to end level, Dynamo produced the decisive moment, capitalising on a defensive lapse from Krasnodar to score the winner and seal a memorable away result. The goal sparked wild celebrations among the travelling support and ended a run of frustration for the Moscow side in close games.

What the Result Means

For Dynamo Moscow Women, this victory is a significant confidence booster and strengthens their position in the Russian Women’s Premier League standings. It demonstrates their ability to compete at the top level and grind out results on the road, which will be essential as the season reaches its midway point.

FC Krasnodar Women will be disappointed to have come away with nothing after battling back into the contest. The defensive concentration that had been present for much of the match deserted them at the key moment, and they will look to tighten up before their next fixture. In a competitive league, dropping points at home can be costly, making this a painful yet instructive defeat.
