NK Solin Cruise to 2-0 Away Win at Radnik Krizevci

NK Solin delivered a composed away performance to defeat Radnik Krizevci 2-0 in the Croatian Second Football League on Saturday evening. Goals in each half were enough to secure all three points at the Gradski stadion, leaving the home side still searching for consistency in the early stages of the season.

The match, played under the lights in Krizevci, saw Solin take control from the opening whistle. Their high pressing and quick transitions consistently troubled a Radnik side that struggled to keep possession. The breakthrough arrived in the 23rd minute when striker Ivan Perić latched onto a through ball and slotted calmly past the goalkeeper. Radnik briefly threatened an equaliser before the break, but Solin's defence held firm.

Key Moments

• 23' – Ivan Perić opens the scoring for Solin with a clinical finish.
• 41' – Radnik's best chance of the half falls to Josip Marić, but his header is saved.
• 67' – Marko Jurić doubles the lead with a curling effort from the edge of the box.
• 82' – Solin goalkeeper Luka Marić denies Radnik a consolation with a fine save.

After the second goal, Solin managed the game expertly, slowing the tempo and forcing Radnik to chase shadows. The home side's frustration was evident as they picked up three late yellow cards.

Tactical Story

Solin set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with the midfield duo of Ante Kovač and Petar Šimić dictating play. Their ability to win the ball high up the pitch allowed the wingers to isolate Radnik's full-backs. Radnik, using a 4-4-2, tried to hit long balls to their strikers, but Solin's centre-back pairing of Ivan Buljan and Marko Čović dealt with the threat comfortably.

Standout Players

Ivan Perić was a constant menace, while Marko Jurić's goal capped a tireless display in midfield. For Radnik, goalkeeper Ivan Horvat kept the score respectable with several saves, but his team lacked a creative spark.

Season Impact

The win lifts Solin to fifth place in the Croatian Second Football League standings with 15 points from nine matches. Radnik Krizevci remain 14th with just seven points, and the pressure is mounting on their coaching staff. Solin will look to build on this result, while Radnik must regroup quickly ahead of a crucial run of fixtures.
