FC Sevastopol produced a ruthless 6-0 away demolition of Dinamo-2 Makhachkala in the RUS D3B on Sunday evening, in a match that was effectively over as a contest long before the final whistle. The visitors were clinical, relentless and utterly dominant, handing the home side one of their heaviest defeats of the season in front of their own supporters.

Match overview

From the opening minutes, Sevastopol looked sharper, faster and more organised than their opponents. They pressed high, won the ball back quickly and attacked with purpose every time they regained possession. Dinamo-2 Makhachkala simply had no answer to the intensity and quality of the visitors. By half-time the score was already 3-0, and the second half was a matter of damage limitation for the hosts, who conceded three more as Sevastopol continued to pour forward.

Key moments

• 6' – Sevastopol take the lead: A high press forced a turnover, and the ball was squared for an easy tap-in.
• 19' – Second goal: A driving run from midfield ended with a powerful shot into the bottom corner.
• 33' – Third goal: A well-delivered corner was met with a thumping header, and the game was already slipping away.
• 48' – Fourth goal: Straight after the restart, a neat one-two carved open the defence, and the finish was ruthless.
• 62' – Fifth goal: The Sevastopol striker completed his hat-trick with a composed finish after a defensive mix-up.
• 85' – Sixth goal: A late penalty was converted to complete the rout and cap a near-perfect away performance.

Tactical story

Sevastopol lined up in an aggressive 4-3-3, pressing Dinamo-2 Makhachkala's defenders into errors and forcing them into long, hopeful clearances. The home side tried to play out from the back, but they were repeatedly caught in possession. Sevastopol's midfield dominated the central areas, and their front three rotated constantly, making them impossible to mark. Defensively, Sevastopol kept a high line and squeezed the space, ensuring the hosts rarely got near their penalty area.

Standout players

The Sevastopol striker was the undisputed star of the show, scoring a hat-trick and leading the line with intelligence and power. Their creative midfielder pulled the strings all evening, dictating the tempo and providing two assists. The centre-backs were rarely troubled but remained focused to keep a clean sheet. For Dinamo-2 Makhachkala, it was a night to forget, though their young goalkeeper made several saves to prevent an even heavier defeat.

Table and season impact

This emphatic win strengthens Sevastopol's position in the RUS D3B table and sends a warning to their promotion rivals. It also boosts their goal difference significantly, which could prove crucial later in the season. For Dinamo-2 Makhachkala, the result is a major setback, and they will need to regroup quickly to avoid their campaign unravelling. On this evidence, Sevastopol look every bit like genuine challengers for top honours.
