Team Info

Al Nejmeh SC, based in Beirut, is one of the most successful and popular football clubs in Lebanon, a constant force in the Lebanese Premier League. Their home matches are played at the Camille Chamoun Sports City Stadium. Founded in 1945, the club's iconic colors are yellow and black. The name "Nejmeh" means "star" in Arabic, reflecting the club's lofty ambitions. Al Nejmeh's history is decorated with domestic dominance, having won numerous Lebanese Premier League and FA Cup titles. Their peak era spanned the late 1990s and 2000s, where they were a powerhouse in West Asian football, regularly competing in the AFC Cup and reaching the final in 2005. That period featured legendary Lebanese players like Abbas Atwi and Roda Antar. In the modern era, they remain perennial title contenders, often engaged in a fierce rivalry with fellow Beirut giants Al Ansar. The current squad is typically a mix of seasoned Lebanese internationals and skilled foreign imports. The fan base, known for their immense passion, creates a vibrant and often deafening atmosphere, making their home ground a daunting venue for any opponent. Al Nejmeh is more than a club; it is a national institution and a symbol of sporting pride in Lebanon.
