Team Info

Almería B is the reserve team of Unión Deportiva Almería, serving as the primary bridge between the club's youth academy and the first team. The side competes in the Spanish Segunda División RFEF, which is the fourth tier of the Spanish football league system. Based at the club's training facilities, the team's main purpose is player development. As a reserve team, Almería B cannot be promoted to the same division as the first team (La Liga) and is ineligible for the Copa del Rey. The squad is typically composed of promising young talents from the academy and a few experienced players to provide guidance. Performing well in the competitive RFEF is a strong indicator of a player's readiness for top-flight football. The team plays a style that mirrors the tactical approach of the senior side, ensuring a smooth transition for call-ups. Matches are attended by scouts and keen fans monitoring future stars. In summary, Almería B is a crucial developmental platform, where the next generation of Almería players is tested in a demanding senior environment.
