Team Info

Borussia Monchengladbach B is the reserve team of the historic Bundesliga club Borussia Monchengladbach. They compete in the German Regionalliga West, one of the five fourth-tier leagues in Germany, which serves as the highest level a reserve side can reach. The team plays its home matches at the club's training ground, Grenzlandstadion, or other local venues. Founded to bridge the gap between the acclaimed youth academy and the professional first team, the B team's primary purpose is player development. Its history is marked by producing talents who later become Bundesliga regulars, such as current stars who honed their skills in these competitive regional leagues. The modern squad is a blend of top academy prospects, new signings acclimating to the club, and senior players regaining match fitness. Operating in the tough Regionalliga, they face hardened adult opponents, providing invaluable experience. While they cannot be promoted to the 3. Liga due to reserve team restrictions, their success is measured in individual player progression. Borussia Monchengladbach B is an essential cog in the machine of one of Germany's most respected talent factories.
