Team Info
UD Santa Marta is a Spanish football club from Santa Marta de Tormes, a municipality in the province of Salamanca, Castile and León. The team competes in the Tercera División RFEF, the fifth tier of the Spanish football league system. They play their home matches at the Municipal de Santa Marta, a ground that reflects the town's commitment to its club. Founded to give the town a team to support, UD Santa Marta has spent its history oscillating between the Tercera and regional divisions. The club's proudest moments have involved promotions and successful campaigns in the Copa del Rey, where they have occasionally faced La Liga opposition. The modern squad is a mix of experienced players from the region and promising youth, aiming for consistency and another shot at the higher tiers of the RFEF. The fan base, though small, is incredibly dedicated, with the club forming a central part of the town's identity. UD Santa Marta is a classic example of a community club striving in Spain's vast football pyramid.
